    Event Description:

ICF Austin hosts: Brains are weird and wildly different from each other. How can we dance in the moment with these differences?

We begin by embracing that different clients have different brains. We learn to skillfully build trust with clients whose nervous systems mean they perceive and process the world in wildly unique ways. Then, we co-create the custom coaching relationship each client needs.

This look at coaching through a neurodiversity-inclusive lens is based on the presenters’ experiences coaching hundreds of clients with a range of neurodivergences, on the latest research in neurophysiology, on trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and on theories of vertical development and positive disintegration. It is also informed by their personal experiences, good and bad, as neurodivergent coaching clients themselves.

With an estimated 15-20% of the world population thought to be neurodivergent, you’re probably already coaching neurodivergent clients. Come learn modifications that will make your coaching more accessible to them and neurodiversity-inclusive for everyone.

    About the Speakers:

    Kate Arms, JD, CPCC, PCC

Kate Arms has been a certified professional coach for over a decade and has been mentoring and teaching coaching since 2016. From the very beginning, her coaching practice focused on coaching creators and innovators, neurodivergent, twice-exceptional and profoundly gifted adults, and parents of twice-exceptional kids.

Her coaching work combines deep experience in the psychology of creativity, neurodiversity & collective innovation. She offers individual coaching and organizational coaching with a focus on culture-building and designing systems to support adaptive change that sticks.

She has trauma-informed training with specific focuses in embodied cognition, improvisational dance and mindfulness practices.

On a personal level, she is highly-sensitive, profoundly gifted, queer, and agender with aphantasia, dyslexia. She has traits of autism and ADHD but no formal diagnosis.

She is the parent of twice-exceptional kids (moderately gifted to profoundly gifted and combinations of autistic, ADHDer, written output learning disability, and dyslexia). She learned the hard way that standard parenting advice did not apply. Her book, L.I.F.T.: A Coach Approach to Parenting, reveals what did.

She holds a BA in Theatre and Biopsychology from Cornell University and a JD from Harvard Law School. She is credentialed as an International Coach Federation PCC, a certified ICAgile Expert in Enterprise Coaching, and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. She is a graduate of the Co-Active Leadership Program.

    Tracy Winter, Ph.D., PCC

Tracy Winter has been a certified professional coach since 2009 and an ADHD coach mentor and trainer since 2021. Though she has coached executives and leaders, she is most passionate about coaching twice-exceptional people and other neurodivergent folks. She has coached people from 15 to 82 years old, including techies, scientists, attorneys, non-profit leaders, and housewives.

Tracy’s coaching approach is bespoke for each client but is based in adult development models and an understanding of how neurodivergent brains can manifest differently from the norm and from each other. Because each client has a unique brain, she partners with her clients to co-create unique paths to their unique solutions, moving them from where they are to where they want to be.

Personally, Tracy is highly gifted, an ADHDer, highly sensitive, and experiences characteristics of autism without a formal diagnosis.

Tracy is a co-founder of the Neurodiversity Coaching Academy. She also trains and mentors new coaches at the International ADHD Coach Training Center, facilitates leadership development for Tesla, coaches students via The Doerr Institute at Rice University, and is a team coach with Dixon Life Coaching, in addition to having her own private practice.

Tracy earned a PhD in Human Development, an MA in Human and Organization Systems, and an Evidence-Based Coaching Certificate from Fielding Graduate University. She is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). And she can jumprope tapdance.

    Description:

“Pushy,” “Sleazy,” “Manipulative,” “Dishonest,” “Fake.” These are the top five words used to describe Sales and Selling in a poll of 5,000 Americans. (Daniel Pink)

Do you feel like this? Most likely, it’s because we view sales as adversarial—us against them—as if we’re trying to manipulate prospective clients into buying something they don’t want. It doesn’t have to be this way. In fact, by our very nature, coaches should make the best salespeople in the world!

Introducing Synergistic Sales: Partnering in cooperation with your potential clients to create a whole that is greater than the simple sum of its parts. In this training, we’ll blend the science (proven, specific steps) and art (your style and authenticity) of the discovery session to earn more clients in an ethical, cooperative, trusting, and respectful manner. You will never feel negative about selling again!

    Pricing:

    Members - $30

    Non-Members - $40
